Project Description:
As part of the activities of the Canada Research Chair in Hydrometeorological Variable Assessment, the fellow will work on frequency analysis of hydrological variables such as floods and low water levels. He(she) will contribute to the development of new methods of regional assessment using new techniques in multivariate statistics such as copulas, multivariate multiple regression models and depth functions.

Desired Qualifications
PhD in statistics or applied statistics but other disciplines that include a rigorous training in statistics will be considered. Practical experience in statistical modeling would be an asset. French is the official language at the INRS but most of this fellowship work will be done in English.
Specific skills required:
• Ability to work in a team
• Excellent communication abilities and a good knowledge of the English language
• Programming competency with software such as Matlab and R

Job Description:
The Statistics and Epidemiology Unit is seeking a statistician at either its Research Triangle Park or Rockville, Maryland location. More than 120 statisticians comprise the Statistics and Epidemiology Unit which is one of the largest and most comprehensive in private industry. RTI statisticians conduct cutting-edge research in survey and sample design, modeling, and statistical analysis. The Research Biostatistician will work in a variety of fields, including international health, governance, and education, as well as health services, economic and social development, education and training and the environment. Eighty to ninety percent of daily work is at a computer, the remainder of the position-time would be in project planning meetings and conference calls.

Responsibilities
• Apply standard statistical and/or data management software package(s) to execute data processing, and data analysis activities
• Review and compile data from multiple sources, analyze the facts based on expertise, and estimate how the reported event will unfold to guide program and policy decisions in the affected public health communities.
• Oversee the analysis and processing of technically complicated data and activities such as longitudinal data analysis, hierarchical linear models (HLM), multivariate general linear models, mixed models, categorical data analysis methods, survival analysis, clinical randomized trial design and analysis, clustered randomized trial design and analysis, and non-parametric methods
• Publish findings and lead or contribute to sections of reports
• Develop solutions to problems where established theories and techniques have not always been identified or where a precedent may not exist for procedures to be used.
• Participate in appropriate professional development and scientific stature efforts

Qualifications
• PhD degree in Biostatistics or Statistics 4 to 8 years of nonacademic related experience in the aforementioned areas of study and
• At least three to five years of experience is required to be in a clinical or multi-site study environment
• A demonstrated track record of publications in peer-reviewed journals
• Candidate must have at least 5 years experience with SAS and Excel. (Sample of SAS code required)
• Demonstrated data manipulation and data management skills
• Experience in phase II/III/IV-drug development studies.

The Department is seeking candidates with established accomplishments and outstanding promise of further research productivity in Sampling Theory with a special interest in Spatial Statistics. In addition, the candidate should have a strong interest in collaborating with other academic units on campus. Such projects could include for example modeling the geographic distribution of disease, of animal habitat, of human social behavior, of environmental risks etc. The University of Saskatchewan has many colleges, departments and research groups that would value and benefit from this activity. Applicants must have a doctoral degree in Statistics and demonstrate excellence or promise of excellence in teaching mathematical and applied statistics courses at all levels. Accreditation by a national statistical organization will be considered an asset. The successful candidate will be expected to develop a vigorous, externally-funded research program and to supervise graduate students. The Department of Information Systems and Decision Sciences at ESSEC Business School invites applications for a full-time faculty position (Associate/Full Professor) in Statistics or Econometrics.

ESSEC is a leading European business school (a French “Grande Ecole”), with two campuses, in the Paris metropolitan area and in Singapore. It offers mostly graduate level training in business administration (MBA, Executive MBA, Specialized Masters, PhD). In 1997, it became the first AACSB accredited business school outside North America. Required Qualifications: 
To be considered, candidates should hold a Ph.D. (or equivalent) in Statistics (e.g. Mathematical Statistics, Actuarial Science…) or in a field related to Econometric Theory (Econometrics, Finance…), and show evidence of excellence both in research and in teaching.

Support to research is key to ESSEC policy and faculty members enjoy a very favorable environment. Salaries are competitive on a European level.

Rank of appointment and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Candidates will have the opportunity to teach at MBA, Master or PhD levels.
