It was hosted by the Statistics Bureau and Statistics Center of Japan under the auspices of the International Association for Official Statistics (IAOS) in cooperation with the Japan Statistical Society (JSS), the Japan Statistical Association (JSTAT), the Statistical Information Institute for Consulting and Analysis (SINFONICA) and the Institute of Statistical Research.
Description:
Information technology is developing revolutionarily in recent years and its impact is tremendous on economy and society domestically and globally. Official statistics are required to cope with this situation by providing users with relevant, accurate and timely data.
Based on researches and studies done by various individuals and organizations on information and communication technology (ICT), this meeting provided a forum to exchange the views and the ideas on the development of statistics, statistical methodologies, analytical frameworks, and other related matters in this field.
