Report from the ISI Programme and
Programme Co-ordinating Committee Chair

The scientific program for the 54th Session is progressing well. Topics for Invited Paper Meetings were agreed in August 2001, at Seoul, by the Programme Committee and the Programme Co-ordinating Committee. These topics have now been firmed up and an organiser in place for each of them. Almost all Invited Paper Meeting organisers have now identified their presenters and provided the titles of the presentation. A number have also finalised the discussants for the Meetings. The full list of Invited Paper Meetings can be viewed at http://www.isi-2003.de . As well, preparations are underway for two tutorials to be held as part of the 54th Session. These are : A tutorial on bioinformatics, looking at the role and type of statistical methods used in this field, organised by Francoise Seillier Moiseiwitsch, and a tutorial on statistical analysis from complex survey data with application to the social, biological and health sciences organised by Danny Pfefferman. Overall we can look forward to enjoying a full and rich programme.
